Productivity and Social Media
Whether utilized for business or personal reasons, social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn have become a significant source of communication. Yet, as useful as these tools can be, they can easily hinder productivity.
In April, Robby Slaughter, principal of Slaughter Development, spoke at Blog Indiana: Evansville on the topic of productivity and social media.
If you are looking for some good advice on how to improve your ability to work with social media more efficiently, we invite you to view the entire presentation below (direct link):
To Slaughter, the most profound aspect of social media is the fact that it provides the ability to broadcast yourself.
All of the interactions we’ve had in our entire lives have all been in this semi-public sphere…who you are in private is becoming more and more apparent to people around you because these networks are helping you to broadcast that reality.
The third annual Blog Indiana Social Media Conference (BIN2010) takes place on IUPUI’s campus downtown August 20-21st. Robby Slaughter will be presenting on Saturday (August 21) at 4PM with the session “Producing Content Without Agony.”
Visit Blog Indiana’s official website for more details on the conference and how you can register.
